Great hair starts with the perfect part.

Here’s how to get it straight-or zigzagged!  

Natural Part

Almost everyone has a part that her hair naturally falls into.  Here’s how to find yours.  Comb wet hair straight back over the top of your head.  Place your hand on the top of the back of your head and push up.  Shake your head slightly, and your natural part should appear.  Draw the end of a tail comb along the part and comb hair out.

Perky Part

Add volume to your hair by changing your part.  Wet hair and comb forward.  Draw a tail comb across your scalp where you’d like the part to be and comb hair into place.  Then blow-dry on a low setting to lock in your part.

Zigzag Part

Try a crooked part for fun!  Comb hair forward over face.  Starting from the front, draw the end of a tail comb over your scalp in a zigzag pattern.  Comb or finger your hair into place as you go.

Stylist Secret

The pointed end of a tail comb is perfect for making parts.  Hold the end of the comb at a 45-degree angle and keep the tip in constant contact with your scalp while drawing the part.
